The Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation and LEGO Systems, Inc. invite you to celebrate innovation and discovery with an amazing event at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History on Friday, February 19.

Founded in 1846, the Smithsonian is the largest museum and research complex in the world, comprising 19 museums and galleries, the National Zoological Park, and nine research facilities. Only a few blocks away from the Summit, our special “night at the museum” will let us explore the role innovation has in all of our lives in the National Museum of American History’s newly opened Innovation Wing.

We’ll have exclusive access to 12 fascinating exhibitions and educational spaces, all centered on innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, including Draper Spark!Lab, the Lemelson Center’s hands-on invention workshop where kids and their families create, collaborate, explore, test, experiment, and invent. We’ll create and build to our hearts’ content with a LEGO® Master Builder. We’ll enjoy plenty of food and drinks. And as if that weren’t enough, each of us will leave with a one-of-a-kind, custom-designed, LEGO Dad 2.0 branded minifigure!

LEGO Systems is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the 2016 Dad 2.0 Summit and this special night at the National Museum of American History. This is a private event open to Summit attendees only, and space is limited. So click here to sign up, and you’ll have to show your Dad 2.0 Summit badge to board transportation to the event. The event runs from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, so you’ll still have plenty of time for the Porchlight DadSLAM, or to branch out to wherever the night takes you.

When you think of LEGO bricks, you think of their versatility. You can build either something familiar or something no one’s ever conceived before. It’s all about discovery, trial and error, and innovation. Thanks again to LEGO Systems, the go-to sponsor for fun and creativity!
